Thank you for doing what you’re doing. You’re doing it right!

Marine Biology Internship Tenerife- Erasmus

It was all about the small moments for me that made it one of the biggest experiences of my
life! Like driving in the van to or from our dive spots and listening to music (with DJ Halina!)
and having crazy hair because of the wind from the open window. The feeling in between the
dives after changing the tanks and taking a break with the small box of juice and a mini
cake…
There were many “pure-happines” moments but these two will stick with me in my mind
forever: first is how I felt before the night dive (and also during:D), with the beautiful sunset
infront of us and a rainbow behind us! And the second was after the boat dive, while
watching the dolphins,TURTLE…And especially going back, with the salt water spraying
into my face, coming towards the beautiful island with rays of sun shining through the
clouds!
At first diving made me really nervous but thanks to both of you for reasuring me that
everything is fine and making me feel safe under the water and although I haven’t really felt
like  doing my advance water course just yet, because of my fear of 30m depth, while others
were ready, now I think I’ll go for it one day! Because now I know I can do it! I was scared
of diving and I did it! I was nervous, both, of the night dive because I’m little bit afraid of the
dark:D and the boat dive because I tend to get seasick but I did it!
Day by day I became more and more confident and what’s even more important I feel like
this experience has lighten up a spark in me to dive more, explore more and check the rocks
more, so I can see what lives there:D and most of all live more. Because I’ve never lived
more in the moment then when trying to focus on breathing with the regulator and not with
my nose during the replace and remove the mask. Which – I also did it!
So thank you for allowing me to learn, to grow and for making me fall in love with diving
one day a at a time, and also biology, because this internship has really remided me of how
many different forms life can have (for example the fish with wings, legs and fins!!) and that
we can find whole universe just in a single drop of water, that life/nature itself amazes me
and thats why I chose to study it. To see it, to understand it, to feel it, therefore to protect it.

Thank you for your time, energy, passion and proffesionalism and for creating a family out of
strangers ! I could go on and on about how great it was!

See you diving!!;)
